Hands: 2000 hands

Hours: all day, from waking up at 12pm until 12am

Roll: 870

Here is a gem from today. I raise on button w K10 suited, sb calls, middle position calls: Flop 10 5 4 rainbow, I bet, SB calls, mid pos folds, Turn: 10 5 4 K, Sb checks, I bet, Sb calls, River: 10 5 4 K J, Sb bets I raise his short stack ai, he calls and shows AQ.

Here's another one. Q4 HU button vs shortie with $22, i raise, he calls, board Q J 2 4 2...his 2 7 offsuit got there on the river ftw. Fuck...-22.

Then these two jewels 2 minutes later...A10 vs 44 AI pre -20 sweet, followed by A6 AI pre vs KQ -15...also sweet.

Another beauty, HU oop vs short stack of $40, he min raises, i reraise to 6 w As Ks, he calls, flop 9s 6s 4s, i bet, he min raises we get it all in and his 99 flopped set fills up...garbage.

Coolered a guy twice. One with KJ nut straight vs Q8 second nuts another time with KQ rivered 2 pair vs AA. Then I hit a couple of short stackers up who went ai with trash.

The two guys who really made my day though were these two: 1. guy calls my 3 bet w AA 1st hand of HU match. He has 88 and stacks off on 772 flop. 2. Guy min raises button w AJ suited and calls my big reraise w AA, I flop a set and check call two pot sized bets to have him ai on the turn and drawing dead. I guess the fact that I let my timer run down a long time before calling the flop bet meant that I had KK in his mind? Without guys like this poker would be much less profitable for me. +200

I busted my ass this month playing poker......HEADING TO VEGAS IN THE MORNING. I DESERVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hands: 850

Hours: 4

Roll: 600

Tilted really hard and dropped a couple of buyins. I wasn't getting any action at HU waiting for a couple of hours which tilted the hell out of me. My opponents hit a bunch of huge hands vs me. And I played on tilt, HU vs regs and 6 max when I was supposed to stick to the game plan of HU waiting for donks.

I feel super on edge and tilt and I'm gonna call it a night. Don't know if I'll even be able to play tommorrow or not.

Hands: 1400

Hours: 6-8

Roll: From $1040 to $800

Funky funky day.

First 300 hands: -$40 HU when AK rivered two pair vs my A7 flopped 2 pair + guy hits 5 slightly better pairs than me in a row. Flipped twice w 1010 vs two overs, 1 for 2. A donk handed me 40 to bring me even for my morning session.

Next 300 hands: Ran like crap. My top pair good kicker runs into bottom pair low kicker who RIVERED TRIPS 3 times in one hour. I've never seen that happen like that before. -$75 for all 3.

-$100, guy mini raises pre utg w q2 suited, calls my JJ reraise with Q2 offsuit and flops trips

-$50, 2 pair, ai on flop with two pair vs oosd +flush draw

-$25, AQ off finds the AK of a shortstacker shorthanded

I thought I was running bad, but then I got QQ ai on flop for 100 vs KK and and hit runner runner chop and got KQ tp ai for 70 vs AQ tptk and went runner runner flush for the chop. Wow.

This day coulda been a LOT worse.

Today coulda been a decent day, I got into some marginal bad spots though towards the end. Lost about $75 of hard earned cash trying to play $2NL vs some aggro donks. So instead of finishing up I finished about even. Today was a real grind, tons of two pair vs top two pair type hands and tons of marginal spots.

Hours: 4ish

Roll: 1977

Withdrew 1080

Roll now at: 897

Monday, January 12, 2009

Date: 1-12-08

Roll: 1980

Hours Played Today: Played till 3 am. Hard to figure exact hours, lots of time waiting for action. Mostly HU today, some 3 handed as well.

Hands Played Today:1350

Didn't get a ton of action, but I played decently. No big tilts. I decided to wait for donks to find me HU rather than play a ton vs regs which proved to be a wise decision. One donk was shipping ai pre with garbage, so I convinced him in the chat to come play me HU, he doubled up the other guy who came with us to the table twice in 5 minutes. Hoagdizzle was his name. I'm glad that our litttle plan worked. I got $65 off the donkey.

Date: 1-11-08

Roll: 1931

Hours Played Today:7ish. Played from 2pm to 12am with a 2:30 hour break where I went and got a nasty hamburger.

Hands Played Today: 2200

I played well today. There was a 15 minutes span where I was trying to play 4 tables of 1-4 handed and I lost a quick $130. It's important that I focus on HU and 3 handed play. 4-6 handed has not treated me well because it's hard for me to adjust to different games at same time while multi-tabling.

Aside from that I played pretty well. At 11pm some idiot doubled me up by shipping 22 ai vs my KK preflop and then A8 suited AI vs my AA. +200 right there.

Thu Fri didn't play much. Spent time with my girl. 8,9th January.

10th I played a long night session till 3 am. Finished that day at $1490 or so.

Today I played all damn day long. From when I woke up at noon to 1AM.

3K hands played. Lotta HU and 3 handed.

Roll is at $1375.

I think I played ok today. Felt like I lost a few coin flips that cut down on my roll. I also had 2-3 huge draws in position which did not hit. None of them got paid today, so that's -$100 right there.

Not a lot of action on my hands. I didn't do anything too tilty, though I did spazz out playing 2 guys HU, they were both shortstacking, I lost $80 in about 7 minutes by getting impatient and trying to fire at pots, they hit about 10 straight flops. Hence -$80.

First winning session in weeks

Played poker from the time I woke up, which was around 12pm, to 3 AM with minimal breaks. I musta played for 12 hours. Very little surfing the web, or chat, mostly just grinding hands. Longest I've played in a while.

I built my roll from 550 to 1400. I was rewarded for not tilting too bad and for playing for a long time vs bad players. It's easy to play long sessions when you are winning.

I kept getting hand after hand for hours. Just hitting monsters. By 1-3am I was on auto pilot, firing away at pots in disbelief that I was actually hitting so many hands back to back.

One mistake sticks out for me:

HU vs a regular decent player, which was mistake number 1.

We were 4 hands in and I was trying to go aggro from the gate, I raised to $4 preflop with 94 diamonds, mistake number 2. I don't go aggro with crap hands in beginning of session cuz it makes me tilt off cash.

Flop 9 8 6 2 spades, chck, i bet $8, he miniraises to $16, I call mistake number 3.

Turn 9864 no flush, he 20 into $40, i raise all in. Mistake number 4. He had  set of 6's. -$100

By calling the flop min raise I felt "committed" and tilted off the rest of my stack when I still could have folded. When I moved in on the turn I thought he might have either 68 or an overpair but in retropspect he never has 68 here, he wouldn't call pre with that and I don't really see him playing overpairs like this either usually.

That's all for now. I have not been keeping track of hands played, bb/100 and all those dumb statistics because I'm just focusing on winning at the moment and not stats. Hopefully not gonna go on winner's tilt now.
