Yesterday I deposited $1000 into my Bodog account, a large amount for an unemployed student such as myself. I made a commitment to once again take a shot at poker to see "if my winning has been luck" or if I've really gotten better and I can squeeze a few more thousand out of this online poker thing. Since moving to 6 max tables a month ago during winter break I've had a more success than I ever had in the 7 months I spent playing full ring. hehehe

So day one with my new roll went ....ok. I started off losing 3 quick buy-ins. I got impatient when I was card dead and made the following horrendous plays:

1. Re-re raising all in on flop oop for 100bb with KK overpair vs super duper nitty guy who made a huge flop raise vs me with a flopped set.
2. Stacking off oop with A 10 top pair vs super nitty guy who flat called w AA preflop.

I also ran bad at first:
1. Losing all in on river with nut full house vs guy who rivered a straight flush (both of his cards played and he called without odds)
2. Getting two outered all in on flop with flopped set vs AA over pair sucking out on me.

After losing these 4 buy-ins and tilting between 4-7pm it wasn't until 4am, 9 hours later that I was able to rally back. I started the day w $1000, dropped to around $700 in a few hours and finished the day at $1150.

Here is how I stacked people:
1. Reraise to 12 pre w aa in position. Pot flop shove turn vs donk w q 10 top pair.
2. QQ all in on turn vs guy with AJ TPTK.
3. Guy bluffing into me all in while I held l card A high nut flush.
4. Calling a river shove with flopped flush on river that paired board vs guy bluffing "a full house"
5. Set mining a guy with AA, all in on the flop and not getting sucked out on.
6. All in on flop with set vs guy who check reraise shoved flop with A high flush draw and didn't suck out.
The battle continues...stay tuned. I need some tuition $.
